With a competitive price and up-to-date technology, this board is a strong top contender for every all-mountain/freestyle board out there. It's just okay at pow, and pretty good in the park. So overall, the YES Standard, doesnt have the camber/pop/turning experience that I prefer but it has near excellent grip, butters super easy, floats in powder really well and gives a really forgiving ride. The added camber makes it carve up the pipe wall better than the older model. No one had a bad thing to say about this board and everyone wanted it. It takes some work to butter. The Yes Standard is updated for 2016 and has some changes that make it less friendly for less advanced riders but make it more friendly for the strong expert rider. Id actually like to see them call this the Jones All Mountain. . Im always really confident even in icy conditions. If it has the sizing range and reference stance of theYES TypoandYes Libreline then this would have been amazing for riders of all sizes but for this year its a bit more specialized. Its not perfect but its got some strong jib personality. So you can generally go with a little bit bigger in boot size than you normally would. Its not a bad here though for what it can do everywhere else. Approximate Weight: Feels on the light side of normal. Or, if you want somethitng a bit more directional, faster turning and more floaty the Jones Frontier is a great choice. Carving was fun on the old jones but the added camber of the 2013 and 2014 Jones makes it much more fun to carve and its one of its better qualities. 162: 12-13 Edge Hold: The 2017 Yes Standard grips well but it doesnt grip like the Under Bite or Middle Bite tech. Jibbing: Not a jib board and I wouldnt like to do anything other than a forgiving easy box. Then it gets a bump width-wise at 156-159 and it makes it a great board for those 10-12 boots.
